JAIPUR: Telecom industry on Tuesday came out strongly to fight off the perception that mobile towers pose serious health hazards.

The concerted effort, that saw coming together of both GSM and CDMA operators, comes after the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) demolished three towers in the city on complaints that the mobile base stations may have been the cause behind two members of a family suffering from brain cancer.

Using your laptop computer on your lap is, paradoxically, not a safe way to use it.

Just as research is emerging showing that cell phones should not actually be held right next to your head (for instance, the iPhone manual states the phone must be at least 5/8 inch away from your body or ear for "safe operation"), research is showing that spending long hours with a laptop on your lap -- the use for which it isintended -- is likely harmful.

Ironic, isn't it?

The jury is in: Radio Frequency (RF) emissions – those coming from microwave ovens, cellular phones and communication tower base stations produce substantial electromagnetic radiation (EMF). There is no standard for safe levels of exposure. Each country sets its own level of safety and the U.S. level is among the highest. While all people and wildlife populations are at risk, children are the most vulnerable. The closer you are to RF devices the more the absorption. Studies in Germany, Brazil, Israel, and England point to strong evidence the EM radiation from cell towers is damaging to health. Empirical evidence leaves little doubt as to the danger of this invisible threat.

Who would ever think that something so convenient and handy in your home could be so dangerous?

HOUSTON - At a place where the condemned have their lives taken, a Texan charged with keeping the convicted behind bars is unshakably convinced his time atop Huntsville prison walls very nearly killed him too.

"I just couldn't figure out why I was getting so sick. I just started feeling weaker and weaker and dizzy", recalled Joseph Milam.

Is a rise in brain tumours linked to the radiation sources we hold so close to our heads? Experts can’t agree on the answer

Allegations of lobbying, bad science, not enough science, conflicts of interest, political inertia, scaremongering and lawsuits: the debate surrounding the safety of mobile phones has it all. With more than 5 billion users worldwide, mobile phones have undoubtedly become central to modern life in just two decades, but could they be a health hazard?

HELSINKI, April 1, 2012—Proper function of the human body relies on "electricity".  What we feel and what we think is regulated by the movements of electric charges within and in-between our cells.

Hence, it should come as no surprise that placing the human body into a sufficiently strong electromagnetic field might cause disturbances to normal physiological electric signaling of the tissues and organs.
